Why Microfiber ?

WHY MICROFIBER?

I am sure we have all heard about microfiber. You may or may not use it, but after you read this you will never want to use anything else.

Let us start with the basics of microfiber. What is it?

Microfiber is fibers usually made up of a blend of polyester, nylon and microfiber polymer. These materials are bundled together to form a strand so small the human eye can barely see it. Those bundles are then split into ultra-fine single fibers (estimated to be at least one-sixteenth the size of a human hair). The amount of splits determines the quality of the microfiber. The more splits, the more absorbent it is. In addition, the chemical process manufacturers use to split the microfibers creates a positive electric charge.

Whoa, the basics? . . . Are you still with me? Basically they are fancy cloths that attracts dirt and germs because of static electricity.

Not all microfiber is the same, at Don Aslett they have only the best microfiber, mops cloths and towels. You can trust that these cloths will work to remove bacteria and dirt.

Why should I use it? We already established they work better at collecting germs and bacteria, but they are eco-friendly too. You can use your microfiber towels hundreds of times, saving you money from buying wasteful paper towel. Good quality Microfiber cloths are easy to clean, helps reduce the amount of chemicals and water used, and because the material dries quickly, its resistant to bacteria growth.

When to use Microfiber? At Don Aslett, our favorite places to clean are kitchens and bathrooms, and the Dual Microfiber cloths will get the job done. It has a scrubbing side that is textured for scrubbing.

You can use Microfiber to polish or dust, no chemicals or sprays needed. The dust sticks to the cloth. Washing your car, windows & glass, carpet stains, walls & ceilings, and of course the floors. Microfiber mops use less liquid than standard cotton mops. Saves you time, no more dipping and wringing. The conventional mop is eliminated!

How do I clean my microfiber? Microfiber needs to be washed separate the other clothes. #1 Rule. Avoid bleach and fabric softener. Wash in hot water, with a small amount of detergent. Dry on low without other items, the lint from other items will stick to your microfiber.

And that is it! That is the how, what, when, and where on microfiber!
